Finding a therapist you feel comfortable with is very important. Whether you seek counseling to help navigate a rough transition, improve a relationship, enhance personal growth or find relief from a situation, I’m here to help.
- As an integrative experiential and strategic family system therapist, I view my role as walking with you, accepting you where you are, and working with you to pursue your goals. I will help you in your process of change and will encourage and challenge you. I specialize in treating individuals with PTSD, mood disorders (anxiety, depression, bipolar), anger, family conflict, and physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. I know choosing a therapist is an important decision and I value your trust and look forward to partnering with you.
- I have deep respect for the courage it takes to tackle the challenges you are facing. Those challenges might be in relationships with the important people in your life, or they might stem from issues that you carry within you, burdens that are too heavy to carry alone.
- Change can be scary and it can be difficult; it can also be empowering. Staying stuck in current patterns of thinking, in the negative beliefs we have about ourselves, or in feelings of anxiety, depression, and shame, can rob us of our joy, energy, and life. My specialized training and therapeutic approaches are designed to help you process and change these beliefs that have kept you stuck.
- I believe change begins to happen when we are authentic about our struggles within ourselves. Just naming them, saying them out loud, begins to open up the possibilities. My primary responsibility is providing a safe environment for growth and healing.
- I am a Marine veteran, experienced in treating veterans, active duty military service members, and their families who are experiencing the effects of combat, service and military family related issues, and military sexual trauma.
